Raising your child’s academic standard will help secure them a place at your chosen school. I highly recommend your child’s preparation begins in Year 4 to ensure their success. Year 5 should be their ‘preparation and revision year, as your child sits their entrance exam in the September of their Year 6.
Homeschool students are offered bespoke learning programmes, whether project based or subject based. Students received either 121 or small group provision.
I welcome students from all backgrounds and abilities.
Depending on on your preference, formal assessments and reports are available, although not compulsory.
With over 15 years as an English specialist, I have taught across the AQA, Edexcel, CIE and OCR Specifications for English Language and Literature.
Building confidence, self-esteem and positive self-talk are all part of the learning journey. I continuously implement positive reinforcement alongside personalised strategies, in order to create a 'positive' exam experience. Praise and a positive mindset transform all students learning.
I am a fully qualified English specialist with a personal love of writing, and a thirst for a well-crafted novel.
Whilst specifically targeting each student's target grades, students are encouraged to actively participate in their learning. Any additional learning needs are accommodated, as modifications can be made to support all students.
Additional tasks can be set, if required.
I offer 121, small groups or, at certain points in the academic year, 'masterclass' tuition, tailored to suit your student's needs. (Masterclasses tend to be exam question or Literature text focused.)
