Getting to know you
Relationships are the key to successes. Therefore it is extremely import to me that we discuss what you wish to achieve, how you learn and what you feel could be 'holding you back' or 'needing support'.
Where possible, I would like to look at examples of your work: school books, essays and mock exams. This enables me to ascertain how I can best teach you in order to achieve your desired outcome.
Focused learning: knowledge and skills
Exam preparation for GCSE English Language and Literature, GL11+, English SATs, 'catch up' sessions, as well as Grade 9 booster sessions.
Personalised programmes of study
Exam preparation incorporating personalised feedback, additional supporting tasks, clear instruction, guidance and supported application, where needed.
For my homeschool clients, project-based learning, including a range of methods to display the student's depth of knowledge and understanding.
English Expertise
With over 15 years of experience in secondary schools and as a personal tutor, I am able to support and teach students how to transform their experience and understanding of our English language. I have a wealth of expertise to impart to my students.
